Title: Dream About Lucid Dreaming
Post by: usmaak on October 28, 2018, 09:02:42 PM
This morning I had a dream about lucid dreaming.  It was not lucid dreaming.  I had a dream that I was asleep and that I'd keep falling asleep and that each time I was asleep, I'd be aware of it and could go where I wanted and do what I wanted.  Then I'd wake up and go back to sleep and start over again.  I could actually feel the moment when I became aware of the fact that I was dreaming.

Keep in mind that I was actually dreaming about dreaming.  It was a dream within a dream.  When I finally did wake up for real, I realized that it was all just a dream (within a dream).

Still kinda cool, and the closest that I've ever come to lucid dreaming.

That's very cool!

I've had dreams within dreams, dreaming that I woke up from a dream but I'm still asleep. A few times I've dreamed that I'm really tired and go to bed or don't want to get out of bed and fall asleep again—in the dream.

A few months ago I was aware of my dream self in a dream and also aware of my regular self lying in bed. The first time I've ever felt I was in two places at once—that was a new one for me.

I think your dream could mean you'll be having lucid dreams soon. Maybe watch Inception to get inspired, it's worked for me. I also just found this movie, Lucid Dream (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt6830780/?ref_=ttpl_pl_tt), from 2017. Hopefully I can find that one somewhere, with subtitles. It sounds interesting.

Update: Lucid Dream is on Netflix. I know what I'm doing tonight.  ;)

I loved Inception.  Totally a mind-bending movie.

The weird thing is, I never really think of lucid dreaming or OBE or anything like that.  I gave up on that many years ago.  Of course "many years ago" has little meaning to many realms of reality.
