St, I agree with you and Lynda Madden Dahl on this. It is also useful to overcome the fear of death:

"Birth and death then have their function, intensifying and focusing your attention. Life seems more dear in your terms, corporeal terms, because of the existence of death. It seems, perhaps, easier to have no conscious idea of the year or time that death might occur. Unconsciously of course each man and woman knows, and yet hides the knowledge. The knowledge is usually hidden for many reasons, but the fact of death, personal death, is never forgotten. It seems obvious, but the full enjoyment of life would be impossible in the framework, now, of earthly reality without the knowledge of death." (from "The Nature of Personal Reality: Specific, Practical Techniques for Solving Everyday Problems and Enriching the Life You Know, Session 646 (A Seth Book)" by Jane Roberts)

Neville Goddard's view of death was similar to Seth's:

QuoteNeville Goddard is known to have predicted his own death. He often spoke about how his garment(human form) would end in his 60's, he died in 1972 at 67.

He was also unafraid of death often saying in his lectures he would not be concerned if he dropped dead right there since he knew he would just be leaving behind this life for another.

He has even been noted to say he is "eager to depart" and that it "will not be very long from now" in the months before his death.

In one of his last lectures he stated he had completed his mission and would be departing from this world soon.

He also believed we had a set amount of time on the earth that we "arrive on time and we leave on time" and that we cannot change when we depart.

I would totally agree with Seth! If I knew when I was going to die it would be a game changer lol

When I know I have completed my mission......that is a different story altogether.

If I knew say..... at 16 that I would die at 25... I would probably just party lol I mean I do not know what I would do ...merely I assume.

I have had my fair share of partying (many moons ago) so I think knowing me.... yep thats what I would do. I would not care. lol

"(11:00.) Affirmation does not mean sitting back and saying "I can do nothing. It is all in Fate's hands, therefore whatever happens, happens." Affirmation is based upon the realization that no other consciousness is the same as your own, that your abilities are uniquely yours and like no other's. It is the acceptance of your individuality in flesh. Basically it is a spiritual, psychic, and biological necessity, and represents your appreciation of your singular integrity."

This guy right here!

So one day long ago when I was picking myself off from the mental floor, I decided to get back into me and do the work again.

I was in a rough spot.

So I finally got my gumption back and the fire in my heart was returning....

I go to this guys FB page and he had posted about doing an exercise with a squirrel. You know the one Jane taught?

So I mentioned with full on glee how excited I was to see this because in the Seth material Jane had the exact same exercise and I have tried it and it was really fascinating! I was so happy he had discovered it!

What did I get in return for my joyous mood and comment ?

He proceeded to tell me in a live conversation typed out.... all the f bombs and how much Seth was a loser and Jane was evil and cussed me out in all caps! Then after he was done completely bashing me and the Seth material -- he backspaced everything and deleted every word he bombed me with!!!!!!!! It was a hard pill to swallow and I just sunk super low and it was a bit of time before I picked myself back up. He is somewhat of a bully in his videos and a general know it all, but I was able to look past all of that because I did not have much experience with Neville at the time and I was experiencing all sorts of stuff with it and no one out there was talking about it really .... he blew me away with his response and it was SO not Neville style as Neville would never say that to me. He would not cuss me out and tell me to F OFF with blah blah xyz and well wow.

So allow me to post an alternative source:

I might sound a bit harsh sometimes in a response here or there but I would never cuss someone out and tell them they are evil or that what they have done is evil and tell them to go f themselves. That is not me!

I will admit that lately that is not the case in private. I have been under new stress and am working through it. However, I would never openly drop bombs in such a humiliating and demeaning manner openly in public if I was teaching. I do not care how stressed out I am I would not do that. I would not call people names as I was teaching ! When I am in my right minded thinking I would not do that privately! (Privately: in my head or with someone safe who knows I am just venting )

So anyway I just thought I would share this story.

I wish that guy well and his wife too, which I really wanted to hear more from, she is really cool from what I could gather, but he never lets her talk lol he interrupts her at every turn! Of course I do not know what they are like now but I guarantee you I will NEVER return to him for help!

And yes "What was coming at me was coming from within me. " At the time I was going through a very rough marriage ending and a lot of venting! lol  And no it was not nice I was dropping f bombs like nobodys business. (shrug) But when I spoke to people, about the work, if I was not in my right minded thinking self, I did not share the teaching aspect of the work. I would send them elsewhere so I would not slip up and say something hurtful and possibly damaging. I did know that even during that. He had no idea what I was going through.

And when you are a teacher of the Oral Traditions, like the Seth material, or Neville you have a responsibility to not damage someone as you teach.
