Is there such thing as reading too much Seth material?

I know that you are a friendly bunch and you won't laugh at me. I have been reading Seth for over a year. I enjoy reading fiction, but when I started reading this material, it turned out to be more interesting than fiction. You know how fascinating it is. :) At some points I was reading several of his books simultaneously - too impatient to learn faster. And then in a book of early sessions I came across Seth words saying something on Jane and Rob's need to process given information before the next session.

It does indeed look like there is so much going on in my sleep and I feel like my brain is working hard. Maybe there is such a thing as having too much of good thing and this is the kind of info that needs 'processing time'.

What is your experience? Too much, bite size pieces, headache, strange feeling inside?

Never too much, in my experience.

But it really depends on your beliefs.

But the real importance is the application in your daily life, in your mental and emotional state, and in your relationships with others.

Hi Marianna. My experience is that I need to "ride the wave" with any sort of inspiration, whether it's creating something or learning something new—or voraciously reading a new author or topic (as I've done with Abraham, Seth, Lipton, others). Because for me, the wave doesn't always last. Divine inspiration comes to mind. So, I'd say "never too much" as well.

It sounds to me like you're in a highly productive place right now where you can handle massive amounts of information from the Seth materials and are processing it while you sleep.

Also keep in mind that people have said they gain new insight when re-reading the books, almost like the books are being written as we read them, providing whatever new information we need or can process at the time.  ;)

Never too much for me either.  I initially raced through most of the traditionally published Seth books because the information and the possibilities it suggested were so exciting.  Now, I've slowed down, doing more reflecting, rereading some books and parts of other books, all while trying to apply the information to my own life.  I now sometimes read books by other authors in my continuing exploration of these ideas, but always come back to the Seth books.

Jane and Rob's situation was unique, in that they were putting a lot of time and effort into creating and publishing the material.  In order to actually use the information in their own lives, they had to switch from their role as the producer to that of a user.  Sometimes Seth would recommend that they study or reread particularly helpful sessions.  Not only that, they were building a large body of work, in a slow step-by-step process.  So they didn't have the opportunity to absorb the material in the same way we have.  We can delve into it in a way that best suits ourselves because we have that completed body of work.  So some of the advice Seth gives them is based on their unique situation.

Seth would likely advise you to trust your instincts.  Seth also knew that the information he was sharing was complex and that there are many levels of understanding and the more we read, the deeper our understanding of it will be.  I feel like I've already gotten a whole lifetime of insights, just from a few years of reading the Seth books, but that I still have a million more that I could discover as I continue to read, study, and try to apply the information.

Thank you all so much! You are all so right. I'll resume my ardent studies :), listen to myself and trust my instincts. That's what I have finally started doing thanks to Seth and others.
My beliefs have been undergoing changes for over 6 years. I think it's gradual enough :)

The same here, Deb. Now - Abraham, Dispenza, and Pam Grout 'waves' are over, while Seth 'wave' is in full blast.

It happens to me often that I read Seth's texts and I come across information that can not accept. Then I am just concentrating on this new information, and I stop to read on.

Well, I might wizz through a book. But it takes years to integrate and "unpack" the teachings, ideas, concepts etc.

too much? I don't know. Too much ice-cream, yes, too much Seth, not so far in my experience, as I tend to go rather s...l...o...w...l...y... at the best of times anyhow. Currently it's taken me six months to get through whatver one I am currently reading, and in between are perhaps 20 other books on a sort of random shuffle of books pile that I read over many months, in bits and bursts, depending on whatever is most appealing at the time.

One day, I decided to count how many books I read at any one time, in a given week or month, and it's usually 20-30, but they get shuffled around, and serve different purposes etc. And often the ideas of different writers cross pollinate in my own mind, and Seth books are enlivened more so as I read other books, and go off on 101 tangents... a wandering path,....

There is no meter. But whatever you do that you feel is too much, may very well be too much and you need a break or to stop. IF you drink too much water you can actually die from water poisoning...but you don't wanna stop drinking water and it is still good for you.
