What we see; what we look like to each other

I found this is Lynda Madden Dahl's book, Living in a Safe Universe and it's been rattling around in my head for a couple of weeks. I thought she did a great job of explaining:

"While you and I don't share realities, what we do share is the ability in the spacious present to communicate telepathically. And this ability to telepathically communicate allows us to agree on similarities between our realities.

...because you are within your own dimension of existence, the objects I see cannot be seen by you, nor can yours be seen by me.

...you hold an idea construction of what you look like, and what I create in my reality is a rendition of your idea construction of yourself. The original idea construction of you is always yours, though, and as you change it, I update my reality to coincide with yours.

...So here I exist in the spacious present within my identity, creating a camouflage reality for my own needs and purposes; and you do likewise in yours."

And this freaky little bit is related:

"...how do we create the illusion of being in a continuous reality one day at a time, surrounded by objects? [T]he mind always resides in the spacious present, but the brain is part of the camouflage of a physical reality. It's neuronal structure creates that illusion of time and space for us, and its perceptive mechanisms of sight, touch, small, taste and hearing point the inner [self] do the actual conversion of action into objects."

Damn, we're 3D printers!  :o

I'm sorry for pulling up an old post but I never heard of Living in a Safe Universe and I'm so intrigued. I can't wait to download the first volume. So interested in her take on the Seth Material. I have so many books I'm reading. I usually have about 8 books going at one time. There isn't enough time to read and absorb all that I want to. lol

I have been slowly beginning to understand and come to the realization that I make this universe safe for myself. I don't have to buy into a particular timeline or probability. I have the ability to make this life what I desire or need for my growth. There are certain things that I choose to not entertain even if others do. I realize with mass events some things can't be avoided but I can choose how to experience them. I've become a daily user of self hypnosis. I read a book by Grace Smith on the basics of it and I felt it would be useful whereas Seth spoke about hypnosis to altar our beliefs. Every night before bed I use hypnosis to change beliefs about myself or this life I'm experiencing.I have had chronic pain from a bulging disc in my neck and back issues from a car wreck. Self hypnosis and the Seth material has turned my life around. I'm better understanding my health and body. For the first time in a year I'm am finding several days in a row of being pain free. It's incredible! I have also found myself telling me in these sessions that I am safe. It has been at the forefront of my mind, so this book by Dahl sounds very interring to me.

zoonie, I am glad you are feeling better. I can certainly recommend the book "Living a Safe Universe".

I downloaded the first book and hope to start reading it this week. Thanks to this forum I have learned of several books and many ideas that have been quite helpful to me in understanding the Seth material even more. There were some concepts I wasn't completely understanding which have been made clearer here. This book sounds like it does that as well.

Hi zoonie29, sorry for the delay, I headed for the hills for a couple of days. It was pure heaven.

I have a few of Lynda's books and I'd recommend them. She really knows and understands the Seth materials and does a great job of explaining them in a simple and basic way, with lots of personal experiences as examples. She also walks the talk and has been a great, unwavering contributor to the Seth community.

I enjoyed Living in a Safe Universe so much that later in 2015 I messaged her on Facebook asking if I mailed my (heavily marked up) copy to her, would she sign it and return. And she did. She's very kind.

I'm glad you found this old topic! And reopening old topics is always welcome. I need to figure out how to remove or reword that warning people get when posting in old topics.

Thank you! I'm reading lots of old posts, gathering as much information as I can. I'm headed for the hills and lakes in a couple of weeks to get away from the craziness of this virus and feel normal for a bit. lol Glad you enjoyed yourself.
