Just wanted to tell you that I really enjoy this forum. I think it is one of the best things I got out of Rick's class: people I can share my thoughts and questions with. Thanks to all of you for making it happen.

  • Honestly, Nathalie, I was thinking and feeling the EXACT same thing today, about this forum and how it is such a gift that grew out of Rick's class!!  I'm actually admiring of how you all are so open with the sharing of your lives (I am more shy, more reticent) because your stories and questions are so rich with lessons and teachings and ponderings for me.  My thanks too......

  • Pinky, what makes you think your life is less rich and paved with less lessons?  ;)

I'm sure you have tones of stuff to make us ponder in return. By the way, your posts are always like rays of sunshine. You are very enthusiastic and positive and quite refreshing to read.  :)

  • Hey Nathalie, thanks for your wonderful support and encouragement -- I needed that!  I really love how synchronicity and abundance are part of your life.  It's inspiring.  I'm feeling it, too -- and a shift in my daily consciousness that's hard to explain but is really here.  Feels good, and feels good knowing others (on this forum) are feeling it, too.  BTW, loved the Meat or Not to Meat discussion by you and Deb.  Dare I say it:  food for thought!!

OK Natalie, if you're still out there, I just found this comment of yours. I think maybe when I was having problems with Qwest some notices never came through. You'd think in this day and age they'd be able to keep the internet running if we get a little rain or snow.  :P

Anyway, if you care to expound on that comment, please email or PM me.  ;) Yes, I am pretty patient. It has its rewards.

I know I am not as active on this site asI use to be, but I still enjoy all the conversations everytime I log in and I still feel the same about my old comment. What a great site you have created!  :) Cheers!

  • Thanks Bumblebee! Nice to hear that you drop in once in a while. We have a great group and I enjoy the forum so much. I'm glad I decided to follow through, it's been very rewarding and educational in many ways. And the reach of the Seth materials around the world is amazing to me, considering how low key they've always been handled and not translated into that many languages. I'd love to know how people outside of the US came across the materials. Of course, Rick's online intensive is very international. Maybe he has some information on his web site.

  • I'm from Australia, so we get plenty of American influences here, but stuff like the Seth material is still quite underground. I came across it via a meditation teacher many years ago.

My friends and I were early twenties, and all had woken up to a point and began questioning reality. We found this lovely old medium, who was originally from UK but moved to Aus years earlier. She was part of the British Spiritualist society (if I remember correctly), but became disillusioned with the dogmatic approach growing within their system.

I'll never forget her wonder at us. She was amazed at how hungry we were to learn and experience all that we could, especially due to our age. She often mentioned how things were speeding up and evolving quickly. It didn't take long for her to suggest the Seth material, she mentioned that we would probably explain it to her once we were done.

How many times I entered the Theosophical Society in Melbourne but never found the Seth material until directed toward it. I guess when the student is ready, the master will come.

On a side note, my wife and I visited the TS bookshop in NY back in 08. We were expecting much more. If anyone is ever in Melb, check out the TS....prices are exorbitant, but the scope is great.

Thanks for sharing this Len, it sounds to me like you and your friends had a lot in common with the NY Boys that originally found Jane/Seth. I often wondered how so many young people were attracted to the Seth meetings, also wondered how they heard about Jane. I suppose I should ask Barrie, it's one of the things I've been wanting to ask him anyway. When I was that age I didn't have the interest. Ah, I've always been a later bloomer.

I was living in NJ when Jane was doing her thing, but too young to take part in the early stuff and I probably wasn't ready for any of it until I was much older. But I'm still kicking myself for not knowing about it, hindsight is always 20/20. Jane died a year before my mother died. At that point I'd left NJ years earlier. Yet, logistically, I could have easily gone up to NY to visit Jane and Rob, if I'd only known. Hah, how many people have said that: "If I'd only known..."
