Similar to Facebook, this new mod allows you to mention someone in your post by using the @ symbol and a member's name, for example @Deb. Once you type in the first letter of a member's name, you should get a drop-down with a list of member names beginning with that letter.

The person mentioned will get a Profile alert upon login that they've been mentioned in a post, even if they're not subscribed to it, plus an email if they have these notifications turned on in their profile. I'm still working out the email notification issue.

It's a great way to bring someone's attention to a post or topic.
