Title: Fish and dolphins in Venice
Post by: jbseth on March 19, 2020, 05:52:16 PM
Hi All,

As a result of the lack of boat traffic in Venice right now, apparently the canals in Venice are clearing up and fish and dolphins have been seen.

Check out this video.

Thank you so much for that! I'd heard of the water improvement in Venice, but I'd not seen actual video and that was fantastic! And look how quickly Mother Nature works! I think we're going to see a lot more like this as the shutdowns continue.

@Marianna, this could be one of the things we consider when thinking of Seth's "quality of life" statement.

The quality of life must be at a certain level so that individuals of a species—of any and all species—can develop.

Yes, yes Deb you are right! It is not the amount of money on your bank account or even a good job that brings your life "to a certain level". And in some cities - life is altogether unbearable. With all the fuss, crowds and cars... I am so glad, I do not live in a large city myself, but have the advantage of using what it has to offer - when I feel like it.
