Has Seth ever recommended pendulums to people other than Jane/Rob?

Seth did seem to encourage Rob and Jane to use the pendulum quite often in the books. But has he ever recommended its use to the general public? Or advised people on how exactly to use it? I've been considering getting one, but I'm a little hesitant.

Thanks.

I don't recall Seth advising others to use a pendulum, but I always figure that his advice to Jane and Rob could be relevant for the general public, even when it was about something very specific to them.

I am privy to Jane's personal journals, and I can tell you she used the pendulum a LOT, usually on a daily basis, to tap into her inner self or subconscious. She often used it to make decisions.

Seth explains how the pendulum works in a 10/25/78 deleted session (link below). There's lot more to the session, it's worth a look, here's just a short quote:

"The pendulum can be used effectively under certain conditions. It allows some communication between the conscious and the "unconscious" portions of the self. It allows a certain kind of black-or-white, yes-or-no communication, with a little leeway toward a "maybe" now and then."

I actually have one, not sure where it is right now, never used it much. But I would think you could make your own, there's nothing magical about the construction. Some would insist you need to have a crystal, or a specific type of crystal. But it's not magic, it's You that would be making the pendulum swing. So I suppose something as simple as a string with a heavy washer on the end would work as well, as long as you believe it will. Otherwise, I've seen them sold in gem and metaphysical shops.

I use mine a lot. I have a star with yes, no, maybe, unclear. Most of the time it says 'yes, go for it!' Occasionally it say no don't do this - these are the things I do not do. Don't ask it about the future.

Yes TES 4 session 182
Towards the end Seth suggests the Gallaghers to practice using one. It's in Rob's notes. (Pg.221 in new editions)

There is an especially interesting paragraph under this one. Hasn't a thing to do with pendulums.  :o

This reminds me of a muscel test I learned some 20 years ago. It was in a session with a kinesiologist to look for possible allergies.
I had to pull my arm out in a 90 ° angle and had to say my name. She tried to push it down but it didn't work. And then I said I am another person (I am Sam). She pushed it down easily. And then we did the yes/no test to recognize how my body would answer when holding for example corn or other substances in my outstretched hand. Very simple.
When you take gold in your hand it comes out with a yes. A sample of amalgam (used as fillings for teeth) it was a no. You couldn't fake it, I tried.
So when using a pendulum it should work the same way. You can trust your body consciousness.

For future events I ask the I Ging because it is the book of change, as everything is changing and possible. There was a stretch of maybe 10 years where I was afraid to ask because the answers were so confusing. It was here on this platform were I asked for advice for a problem and I was encouraged to use the pendulum or the I Ging. I did that and saw that in hindsight the former "predictions" just mirrored my own confusion in that life period.

I've done those tests as well and they're pretty amazing.
