"I had thought Ouija boards were bullshit. I started the whole thing when Kennedy was killed and felt the country was going mad. I was really into politics at the time and writing poetry about Oswald, etc."

--Jane Roberts quoted by Rich Kendall [ESP class member] in his A Creative Journey: Seth Inspired

("Seth, will you tell us something about President Kennedy?")

[... 1 paragraph ...]

"Jack Kennedy himself had a premonition of events and even in the midst of action he was prepared for death. His subconscious mind always knew the true nature of death and flirted with it consciously.

"The good Jack will be a beggar boy in India, to be born in 3 years. In later life he will attain prominence if he carries through as beautifully as he did in the past. His first name will be Ambum, A-m-b-u-m, pronounced Ammum. This time he will attain prominence from poverty, an experience which will greatly reinforce the strength of his entity's purpose....

"Oswald was always a personality fragment, as all psychopaths* are. As fragments of a personality break off in the manner that I explained for schizophrenics, so in some cases part of an entity reincarnates before it should, does not carry its full mental gene blueprint, and therefore causes trouble and confusion. It is as though one of the wild images of a nightmare emerged with full physical power into the world of the day."

The Early Sessions, Vol 1, Session 15, January 13, 1964

*[Yet, per JFK and the Unspeakable, (or was it another book? -- sorry --Mark) truant teen Oswald was tested and not found psychopathic. On the other hand, per JFK and the Unspeakable, there were apparently two "Oswald's," two arrests at the theater, one arrestee brought out the front of the theater in front of a crowd and one brought out the back, little to no crowd as per the theater's concessions employee. The book further tells of an Air Force fellow returning home seeing who he later ID'd as Oswald board the plane he was on when it landed outside Dallas on a dirt runway by a river. That person couldn't have been Lee Harvey Oswald, however, as that Oswald was in custody, claiming he was the patsy.]

"Ruburt received the information and also ignored it. Ruburt also received information which he distorted about the Kennedy assassination. If you will both practice correct use of psychological time  you will greatly aid such inner data.

("How was the Kennedy material distorted?")

[... 1 paragraph ...]

("Did Jane distort the Kennedy material she received through you?")

"The Kennedy material was not distorted in these sessions, though some parts of the Oswald material had small unimportant distortions due to Ruburt's tendency to compare Oswald's mother with his own present mother. The distortion was slight.

[... 1 paragraph ...]

("What was the distortive word in the Kennedy poem? I'm sure Jane would like to know.")

[... 80 paragraphs ...]

(There follows the Kennedy poem referred to by Seth in the 33rd session."

—TES1 Session 33 March 9, 1964

"That event resulted in a scribbled manuscript, unpublished, called 'The Physical Universe as Idea Construction.' His desire and intense intent to understand more of the nature of reality triggered the production of that fragmentary automatic [writing] manuscript. He found himself as a young adult, at the time of the President Kennedy assassination, in a world that seemed to have no meaning. At the same time, while conditioned by the beliefs of his generation — beliefs that still tinge your times — he held on to one supporting belief never completely lost from childhood."

The Individual and the Nature of Mass Events, Part Two: Chapter 4: Session 824, March 1, 1978

Seth found this conspiracy difficult to unravel:

"Christ did not take part in it. (Pause.) There was a conspiracy in which Judas played a role, an attempt to make a martyr out of Christ. The man chosen was drugged — hence the necessity of helping him carry the cross (see Luke 23) — and he was told that he was the Christ."

"(Pause at 10:00.) This is difficult to explain, and even for me to unravel...."

—SS Part Two: Chapter 22: Session 591, August 11, 1971

I would think an unravelling difficulty would also apply to the JFK assassination.

What follows is for those who might take an interest despite it not being connected to the Seth material:

Subject: Reclaiming History, Bugliosi on the Morning Show re the JFK assassination today

Prof. Berg [local radio show host]:

Mr. Bugliosi defends the Warren Commission, but I did not hear him tell us:

The United States House of Representatives Select Committee on Assassinations (HSCA) was established in 1976 to investigate the assassinations of John F. Kennedy and Martin Luther King, Jr. in 1963 and 1968, respectively. The HSCA completed its investigation in 1978 and issued its final report the following year, which concluded that Kennedy was probably assassinated as a result of a conspiracy.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_House_Select_Committee_on_Assassinations

From the same link:

Robert Blakey, the chief counsel of the committee, later changed his views that the CIA was being cooperative and forthcoming with the investigation when he learned that the CIA's special liaison to the committee researchers, George Joannides, was actually involved with some of the organizations that Lee Harvey Oswald was allegedly involved with in the months leading up to the assassination....  Chief Counsel Blakey later stated that Joannides should have in fact been interviewed by the HCSA, rather than serving as a gatekeeper to the CIA's evidence and files regarding the assassination.

and

In the same 2003 interview, Blakey issued a statement on the Central Intelligence Agency:

...I no longer believe that we were able to conduct an appropriate investigation of the [Central Intelligence] Agency and its relationship to Oswald.... We now know that the Agency withheld from the Warren Commission the CIA–Mafia plots to kill Castro. Had the commission known of the plots, it would have followed a different path in its investigation. ...

and

According to a 2015 Politico report,[38] newly declassified documents show that CIA director John A. McCone hid evidence from the Warren Commission. According to a once-secret report[39] written in 2013 by the CIA's top in-house historian, David Robarge, the CIA admits McCone and other senior CIA officials withheld 'incendiary' information from the Warren Commission.

Here are some remarks about Bugliosi's book:

An extensive review in The Federal Lawyer sees merit in some aspects of the book, writing that "there is no denying that Bugliosi's herculean effort is a historic and important contribution", but is critical of Bugliosi's selective approach to evidence and use of slurs against critics of the Warren Commission. The reviewer observes that: "history is not being reclaimed, it is being reframed...by Bugliosi's knowingly omitting and citing material out of context. Examples similar to Bugliosi's selective presentation of the bullet evidence abound...His incessant hurling of slurs...inevitably carries a whiff of buffoonery and anxious self-promotion about it. And that's particularly the case when he's flat-out wrong on the facts."

This author found Bugliosi's honesty quite lacking when it came to his famous Charles Manson prosecution:

Chaos: Charles Manson, the CIA, and the Secret History of the Sixties by Tom O'Neill

Twenty years ago, when journalist Tom O'Neill was reporting a magazine piece about the murders, he worried there was nothing new to say. Then he unearthed shocking evidence of a cover-up behind the "official" story, including police carelessness, legal misconduct, and potential surveillance by intelligence agents. When a tense interview with Vincent Bugliosi — prosecutor of the Manson Family and author of Helter Skelter — turned a friendly source into a nemesis, O'Neill knew he was onto something.

Chaos mounts an argument that could be, according to Los Angeles Deputy District Attorney Steven Kay, strong enough to overturn the verdicts on the Manson murders.

[This is not to say that Manson was a nice guy as he assuredly was not.]

If Oswald was the lone assassin, the files the CIA continues to withhold should support that and be released.

Concerning the CIA:

"Before the act was passed. Secretary of State George Marshall warned President Truman that it granted the new intelligence agency in particular powers that were "almost unlimited," a criticism of the CIA that Truman would echo much too late—soon after the assassination of John Kennedy" [when he wrote a critical op-ed one month after the assassination which Warren Commissioner, Allen Dulles, who had been fired from the CIA by JFK, sought to have Truman recant].

The quote above is from perhaps the premier book on the JFK assassination, JFK and the Unspeakable by James W. Douglass (2008).

Tonight, former CIA analyst from 1963 to 1990, Ray McGovern, once responsible for The President's Daily Briefing and founder member of Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity, which sought to keep the US from attacking Iraq and is still active, will discuss this book which he endorses on a ZOOM call.

I would encourage you to "tune in" or watch any subsequent recording of it.

Ray is a very engaging speaker and, I feel, should be a guest on The Morning Show sometime given his storied professional life.

Concerning The Morning Show recently featuring the author of American Confidential: Uncovering the Bizarre Story of Lee Harvey Oswald and His Mother, I thought the author made too much of this problematic photo which Oswald denied was him. (But the info she related about Oswald's mother was indeed interesting.)

Indeed compare for yourself the squarish chin in the photo to Oswald's relatively pointed chin in his arrest photo below.

Thank you and best wishes,
Mark M

Nice to hear from you.

You have certainly piqued my curiosity regarding Bugliosi.

I think the point about the photo of Oswald is not whether or not it is authentic -- but the fact that these widely circulated photos have been what one might characterize as an inspiration to certain troubled individuals.   But perhaps he makes too much of that.   I agree that the most interesting aspect of the book is for us to learn much more about Oswald's mother.  Her story is a fascinating one.

I appreciate your interest in the Morning Show and your careful listening.    GB

Thank you, Prof Berg.

Yours is a good point:

"I think the point about the photo of Oswald is not whether or not it is authentic - but the fact that these widely circulated photos have been what one might characterize as an inspiration to certain troubled individuals..."

A little more about the Manson-related book CHAOS:

The author of that book said as a result of what he found out he was hardpressed to decide who was actually the most evil, Manson, Bugliosi, or this CIA guy!

Terry Melcher, producer of the Byrds and others (and Doris Day's son) and Dennis Wilson of the Beach Boys hung out with Manson, not that they had anything to do with the murders.

As Hitler originally wanted to be a painter, Manson wanted to be a rock star.

Bugliosi took steps to hide Melcher's involvement with Manson (in part, creating a false time-line as I recall) and these steps were part of his tampering with the case.

As I recall, the JFK assassination comes up in CHAOS, concerning Jack Ruby.
