Everyone has amnesia

When I go about my day I force myself to adopt a view of seeing everyone about as having a very bad case of amnesia. They don't remember who they have been, they don't know that the life they are living now is a mere fragment of their existence. They have no inkling they have set themselves challenges and have contracts with others. I try to hold this in my mind all the time but of course I often slip back into amnesia myself. Anyway it's just a magical way of looking and I encourage others to try it. You develop a sympathy for everyone and everything you come across. And it helps to keep you awake - don't go back to sleep!

"You have made appointments, each of you, that you have forgotten. They were signed, so to speak, before you were born in this existence. In many cases the friends that you make were close to you long before you met them in this present life."

Bora, thanks for highlighting this very important passage from Seth Speaks. I think I had a personal experience of this day before yesterday.
It is worth noting that the title of Chapter 12 is "Reincarnational Relationships".

What a great practice, I think I need to do a bit more of that. It builds compassion, like the old Biblical "forgive them, for they know not what they do." We're all guilty of that. While I'm not religious, I always thought that was a great way for me let go of others' behavior that drives me up the wall, lol.

Great quote from Seth too. I finished listening to UR1 today. Seth mentioned "blueprints" for life that we have also forgotten. I want to explore that a bit more.

"Each probability system has its own set of "blueprints," clearly defining its freedoms and boundaries, and setting forth the most favorable structures capable of fulfillment."

Deb, do you think that all members of this forum are in the same probability system? Certainly those who leave after having actively participated are likely to be in different probability systems.

I think it's likely that a number of us on here have known each other in other lives.

"realize also that towns and villages may also be composed of the past inhabitants of other such towns and villages, transposed with new experiences and backgrounds, as the group tries different experiments."
—SS Chapter 12: Session 550, September 28, 1970

"Now sometimes, there are also such variations in that the inhabitants of a particular town now may be the reborn inhabitants of those who lived, say, in 1632 in a small Irish village. They may be transposed to a town in Idaho"
—SS Chapter 12: Session 550, September 28, 1970

We might all have once lived in the same village even 😃

That's never occurred to me, but now that you mention it yes, I think so. While the other areas of our personal realities would be different, we converge here and are sharing the probability where this forum and our mutual interest in the Seth materials is concerned. And those who left or joined but never participated are in another probability—again most likely only in regard to this forum.

When I got the idea to start SoS (Nov 2014), I wasn't sure if anyone would be interested. One day while I was debating whether or not to create the forum, I saw the name Elmira NY on three different cars within a 2 hour period. That convinced me to give it a go, considering Elmira is a small town 1,664 miles from here. I took it as a sign. But there's a probable me who did not start the forum, so has not crossed paths with anyone here, unless it would have been through other means.
