It may be risky to pick and choose Seth's ideas on personal reality creation

I don't accept every statement Seth made. As Lynda Madden Dahl points out, however, it may be risky to try and water down Seth's ideas on personal reality creation:

"Seth says, "You must understand the rules that apply. For they apply whether or not you understand them, and whether or not the wish is one that you really want fulfilled." [Early Sessions, Book 7, Session 281)] There is a logic behind personal reality creation, and Seth explains it and its depth throughout his books. It's so pure it can almost be flow-charted. And if we miss any of the logic he describes, or we tamp it down with other beliefs we hold about how creation happens, we're working with one hand tied behind our backs, conscious creation-wise. It is this depth behind Seth's ideas that expose the logic, not necessarily the individual statements themselves. If we run with Seth lite, we miss or misinterpret the logic." (from "Living a Safe Universe, Vol. 3: A Book for Seth Readers (Living a Safe Universe: A Book for Seth Readers)" by Lynda Madden Dahl)

What Lynda Dahl seems to be saying is that we need to be consistent in reality creation. If I say to myself, "I am confident that I can create a reality in which I have enough money to live on, but I can't be sure what illness will hit me next.", then I am holding two inconsistent beliefs.

Right Sena!
As this "You create your reality!"  is nowdays an advertisement in many places in public, it's not so simple to go headlong with it.
when grappling with it I found other bits and peaces from Seth texts that maybe give idea:
Quote"Realize that you do not form events alone," Seth told her. "You are involved in a cooperative venture. You are not alone responsible for an event, therefore, in that usually others participate in its creation and for their own reasons.
"Now, the question cannot be answered simply in one evening," Seth continued, "but each living consciousness has its own defense system and its own vitality, and you should trust your own— [but] you do not trust your own. You do cooperate together to form the physical reality that you know, telepathically, through ways and means that are unknown to you. You weave these webs of psychic reality that then coalesce into physical reality. You do not weave them alone, necessarily—you weave them together. Your thoughts intertwine with the thoughts of others. You are responsible for your own thoughts.
"You need to learn the power of thought and emotion, your beliefs..power of suggestion and the interrelationship of beliefs within families...

Conversations with Seth
Isa, thanks for drawing our attention to the remarkable Chapter 11 of "Conversations with Seth" by Sue Watkins. The chapter is entitled "Health, Healing, and how we walked through  each others' bones". I had to concentrate hard while reading this chapter.

The following is one of the key paragraphs in the chapter:

"Certainly, little attention has been given to the ferreting out of beliefs behind medical conditions, or to why consciousness developed in the particular way it did, forgetting the inner origin of outer events. And so, in this regard, Seth didn't automatically "heal" anyone—nor did he, Jane, or class ever posture that they could. It was placed upon the individual to do this, as Seth's remarks to Cora implied. Health and the body's condition were treated as the result of beliefs: as a reflection of the inner order of logic, springing into physical expression." (from "Conversations With Seth: Book One: 25th Anniversary Edition (Deluxe Ed)" by Susan M. Watkins, George Rhoads, Jane Roberts)

My understanding of this chapter is that both spiritual healers and the medical profession do a disservice to their clients by taking away their power. Seth was NOT a spiritual healer. Spiritual healers like Jesus Christ wanted people to give up their own power completely and place their trust in him. Seth is telling us the opposite – The power to be well is entirely within the individual. If one believes in one's health, fear is eliminated.

Here is another quote from this chapter: "Why do you water your fears like weeds, and ensure that they do grow?"

I agree Sena. One healing system that both puts the power of healing back in the hands of the self (in fact demands self reflection) and regards illnesses and diseases as beneficial markers guiding us toward a conciousness of balance and wholeness is Bach flower remedies. I have studied this some and Dr Bach's thinking on health is so close to that of Seth albeit expressed in far more rudimentary terms.
