The caricature is unrealistic ... all that food has to have ended up somewhere, and that is his way out, alive. If he hadn't been hypnotized, and had applied the smell-test, he would've gotten out of the trap earlier.

I think if he was sitting at the top of the jar on the right, on a mountain of mouse droppings, it could have turned into a deep discussion here. THAT feels Sethian. Lol.
