  • He is thrown back in time, and on regaining consciousness,
  • finds that while he physically exists in the past,
  • he appears to everyone else as a person into whom he had "leapt",
  • and further has partial amnesia related to his own identity
  • A hologram of his friend Admiral Al Calavicci (Stockwell) appears, visible and audible only to Sam, and helps
  • In each episode, a different cast of guest characters appears, mostly the ones who would have interacted with the person Sam replaces with his leaps.
  • Several other characters are referred to regularly throughout the series, but are mostly unseen.

I think that this could apply not only to time, but to 3D-space, and to probable reality jumps too! The Admiral is his "inner-guide". The computer is the "physical reality framework".

In the near future, physicist Dr. Sam Beckett (Bakula) theorized that time travel within one's own lifetime is possible, and obtains government support to build his project "Quantum Leap". Some years later, having already spent $43 billion, the government threatens to halt funding, as no progress has been made, and Sam decides to test the project accelerator by himself to save the project before anyone can stop him. He is thrown back in time, and on regaining consciousness, finds that while he physically exists in the past, he appears to everyone else as a person into whom he had "leapt", and further has partial amnesia related to his own identity.

A hologram of his friend Admiral Al Calavicci (Stockwell) appears, visible and audible only to Sam, and helps
to explain to Sam that he must correct something that went wrong in the past, aided with the resources of the project's supercomputer Ziggy (voiced by Pratt), as once that is corrected, he should be able to leap back to the present. Despite successfully correcting the past, Sam continues to leap randomly to another place and time within the second half of the 20th century, "putting right what once went wrong and hoping each time that his next leap will be the leap home"
...

Although I don't always write it explicitly, it should be inferred that everything I post is "my belief", "my opinion" on that subject, at that moment.

Interesting ...

I didn't know that the show was just revived this September! It ran three episodes already.

EDIT: I presume this revival is ridiculously "WOKEd up" to fit the times ...

This is worth reading, a good motivation to learn to "quantum leap"!

If you Google climate change, at the top of your search, you will get all kinds of UN resources. We started this partnership when we were shocked to see that when we'd Googled climate change, we were getting incredibly distorted information right at the top.

We are becoming much more proactive. We own the science and we think that the world should know it, and the platforms themselves also do. But again, it's a huge, huge challenge that I think all sectors of society need to be very active-"

EDIT: I don't call all this (current events and trends) "conspiracies", but "stupidity", which shows that although I understand that it is caused by having six-year-olds ruling the world, it still bothers me.

I LOVED Quantum Leap, had no idea it's been revived but have a feeling I'd prefer watching the old 80s episodes. I loved the actors too, they were perfect. I'd like to watch it now as a Seth reader and see how it fits in.

OMG. That's pretty frightening.

Deb

Well OK here we go. Can't sleep, watching my fav, NCIS, and Scott Bakula just happens to be starring in it. Life as usual for me.  ::)

You noticed that, so there probably is something for you there.
