This looks good not watched any of it yet. Wondering if she is the same body/actor in each incarnation, guess I will find out later. Quite hard though I would imagine to make a film using different actor for each life, hard for the viewer to relate them as the same soul, easier in a book I think

Have you ever seen "Cloud Atlas" ?

Bora137

No is it about incarnations?

Watched the first episode of this. It's more like probable selves than incarnation plus some Ground Hog Day.

Thanks for this! I did find a trailer for the show on YT, and it looks interesting.

The last thing the girl says in the trailer when she's asked what her plan is for her next life, is that she wants to come back as her, but do things better. Which reminded me of Groundhog Day. Life After Life appears to deal with actual reincarnation, while GHD was a dirtbag of a guy repeating one day until he... does things better. A classic. This new show looks intriguing and I'll certainly watch! It's sad to see how she's continually being told it's all in her head.

Ye I loved GHD it is almost like he has an awakening, goes through dark night of the soul and his ego is destroyed and then he learns to be himself.

See what you think Deb it's not what I really hoped for - that being same mind in different bodies/times/places etc. I'd love a film that goes through the story say of a knight that dies on a muddy battlefield then next incarnates as a banker then maybe a woman in an Indian village 1000 years ago then on a different planet as a different humanoid. But really I don't think such a film would be possible to make.

I really liked Time Bandits because it juxtaposed so many different times. And 12 Monkeys was wonderfully time-jumbled too.

Yes it is about incarnations.

Also, the movie, "What Dreams May Come".

Both movies well done.

I finally get some time to myself and try to watch the first episode, and then get this error message: "BBC iPlayer only works in the UK. Sorry, it's due to rights issues. In the UK? Here's some advice."

☹️ i always thought there was an international version but maybe not

Well I clevered my way thru the GB IP address and mail code situations, only to be told I needed to pay for a subscription. So... I'll just have to wait until the show gets picked up by Netflix or Amazon Prime. I can be patient.  ;D

Please let us know how you like it.

Not sure I'm hooked enough to watch the second episode but keep thinking it might get better..

I couldn't watch the video either but I did find the book and read it.  It definitely seems like probable lives.  I really enjoyed it.
