Have you looked at articles on the Fibonacci sequence / Golden Ration?

You'll note the spiral pattern in pretty much everything.

Spheres and spiral are the things I tend to doodle the most on bits of paper, spirals are also vortexes of energies.

When I meditate I often think of spiral and spheres (or globes).
an interesting thing about a sphere/globe is that all potential mathematical shapes are inside it, and all directions are possible from a sphere.

Historically in various religious art, the "soul" (whatever the heck that is) is often depicted as a sphere like shape or light leaving the body.

I think it has more to with math than mysticism though.
I think when we see visions etc during meditations sometimes those visions are coded pieces of information from our bodies, such as stuff in our genes and DNA, which would also fit with the holographic model of the universe. Every part contains the whole.

Of course I could be way off, but I trust my feelings over facts these days, which is not that easy as I am a fairly logical sort.

and also for anyone interested look up "sacred geometry" which comes in most ancient earth structures, mandalas, talismans etc. They are not just building or symbols, but encoded information that interacts with consciousness. The more evolved we are, the more a particular encoded symbol potentially can interact with us. They are not just symbols, but the physical representation of the multidimensional symbol, structure and associations.

Sorry I've been kind of quiet recently, I've been slammed with work and other stuff; being self employed my work sometimes spills into evenings and weekends so I haven't been able to keep up. Hopefully I'm back for a while.

Thanks for the link to the Paul Helfrich writings. I just happened to click on his assessment on channeling, what an intellectual way to dissect and examine something so un-scientific. I'm looking forward to reading more.

Have you looked at articles on the Fibonacci sequence / Golden Ration?

I've heard a bit about fractal (sacred?) geometry, I think Bruce Lipton talks about it (Spontaneous Evolution?) which I found fascinating. Of course not long after that, fractal art was showing up on Facebook. The Golden ratio -- Nautilus being the perfect example. More fascinating stuff. Being a really visual person, I enjoyed the link to Google Images. It seems magical to me.

A little bit off topic: Back in 2009 I made a logo for a client based on the Golden ratio, the GR had a lot of meaning for her. I stylized her business initials "AD" into the design, made it in her favorite color combination and she really liked it. I'll attach just the top portion of the design.

Oh no, not nosy, just politely interested.

I'm a graphic designer, illustrator, web designer, web developer and sometimes artist. Foodie. And blogger x2. My training is in graphic design, but I also have that left-brain thing going so I develop web sites but am not technically-inclined enough to be very advanced at that. Apparently it's rare to be a real designer and also be able to build web sites. I'm limited in the web development area, but resourceful. And get bored with focusing on one ability.

I've often said that if I were to have focused on only one ability in my life, I'd be a millionaire.

But money isn't everything. Fulfillment, purpose, leaving my mark are more important to me. Silly me.
