Mary Dillman

Hi folks, I have some said news about Mary Dillman. The short version: About 3+ weeks ago she was admitted to the hospital for tests and then treatment. Moved over to rehab (to get back her strength and return home), she contracted covid and died within a few days—the evening of Dec. 9.

We've in contact quite a bit over the past few months, especially after Rich died at the end of April. There's more to this story, but I'll have to share it at another time.

I can say that when she received her diagnosis about 3 weeks ago, she knew she had chosen this time and way to transition, and said she had to admit she was looking forward to her next adventure. She refused a ventilator the day before she passed. I feel she is an admirable person for living the life that meant so much to her (packing up and moving to Connecticut 10 years ago to begin The Seth Research Project), living the Seth life, and leaving without fear. I can only imagine the welcoming party that met her on the other side.

Thanks for letting us know.

I didn't know Mary herself and I never met her or corresponded with her, but I knew of her work.

Whenever, I hear something like this, I seem to be filled with both a mixture of sadness and joy.  Sadness for her family and friends, who will miss her now that she has transitioned, and joy for her, herself in her new adventures.

I appreciate the information, Deb.  I've been looking at the Seth Research Project pages, and Mary was clearly living her life with intent.  From her website:

"My name is Mary Dillman, and my desire is to see the ideas in the Seth material reflected in my world. My personal life goal is to understand and use the ideas to the best of my ability. In doing so I do not feel it necessary to denigrate the truth of others, or insist that my way is the only way. I am merely following my own inclinations and recognizing the authority of my own being."

That's a pretty wonderful little/big manifesto.

I wish her well. Good choice, refusing a ventilator and the narcotic drugs that go with it.
