WW, good question. According to Seth, genuine self-pride is great.

""Love your neighbor as yourself." Turn this around and say, "Love yourself as you love your neighbor," for often you will recognize the goodness in another and ignore it in yourself. Some people believe there is a great merit and holy virtue in what they think of as humility. Therefore to be proud of oneself seems a sin, and in that frame of reference true affirmation of the self is impossible. Genuine self-pride is the loving recognition of your own integrity and value. True humility is based upon this affectionate regard for yourself, plus the recognition that you live in a universe in which all other beings also possess this undeniable individuality and self-worth.

False humility tells you that you are nothing. It often hides a distorted, puffed-up, denied self-pride, because no man or woman can really accept a theory that denies personal self-worth.

Fake humility can cause you to tear down the value of others, because if you accept no worth in yourself you cannot see it in anyone else either. True self-pride allows you to perceive the integrity of your fellow human beings and permits you to help them use their strengths. Many people make a great show out of helping others, for example, encouraging them to lean upon them. They believe this to be a quite holy, virtuous enterprise. Instead they are keeping other people from recognizing and using their own strengths and abilities."

—Nature of Personal Reality Chapter 21: Session 674, July 2, 1973

Pride as a sin is a Christian obsession. According to the Christian view, human beings are like worms compared to God. Seth talks about All That Is, and that is not a personal God.

"Whenever we pit ourselves against Church teaching and act as our own Magisterium, we reveal that we are in the grip of deadly pride."
(That means if I read Seth, I am in the grip of deadly pride)

Thanks for the well thought out answer Sena. I should have rephrased my question. I understand having "self worth pride" but the pride i was referring to is excessive pride that borders on narcissism. Its easy to have pride once you realise you are the exact essence of ATI and many people do have serious issues with self worth. But i was thinking more along the lines of excessive pride/arrogance and narcissism where some people actually believe they are better then others.  I should have been more specific. Also-my questions dont derive from my church going christian background. Ive never been a church goer but i have read the bible and it does have a few nuggets. I am also curious of who Christ truly was. Ive read the Nag Hammaddi gnostic gospels and thats the idea i generally subscribe to who Christ truly was ie all we need is within us.  The gnostic gospels paint a more "Sethian" veiw of Christ and their origins are fascinating. Just because the churches have misrepresented Christ doesnt negate the fact he still had a major impact upon this world hence my fascination, not to mention even Seth stated that Christ was more advanced then he was. Im not giving up my search on the "true Chrsit" just because a heirarchy of men decided to use him for power and greed through fear. The church is who seperated people from ATI. I believe Christs true message was/is to teach all is within us and we neednt go through a heirarchy of men. Thanks again!

Hi Windwalker, thanks for your response. I was not aware that Seth had made this statement. Would you be able to give the reference? Thanks.

Just a brief search of this site and Deb posted:

TES5 Session 203 October 28, 1965:
Rob: Ruburt is not aware of the Jesuit's messages, but Seth is.
(Bill remarked that in terms of our existence our Christ was a supernatural being.)
Seth: Your Christ had abilities which I still do not have...

Yet this couldnt be what I was referring to because i havent read the early sessions. I think it may have been Seth Speaks but I cant research because I no longer have Seth speaks ie it was a loaner from the internet archive library. Also-it was a very brief statement by Seth similar to the one Deb posted above. When you google "was christ more advanced then christ?" not much info comes up yet i will find it and when i do i will share it with you.

WW, thanks for that. I would agree that having more abilities does make a person more advanced.
I found this from a Google search:
"Seth Speaks, Appendix, Session 558, November 5, 1970:

Seth: In your terms, and in your terms only, the coming of Christ was the Second Coming. (Pause.) In those terms — and, again, this is important — in those terms only, he appeared at the time of Atlantis, but the records were destroyed and forgotten except in the memory of a few who survived.

Now, again in those terms, he is an entity who appears time and time again within your physical system, but he has been recognized on only two occasions. Once in Atlantis, and once in the Christ story as it has come down to you in all of its distortions. He appears and reappears therefore, sometimes making himself known and sometimes not. He was not one personality, as I have told you, but a highly developed entity, sometimes appearing as a fragment of himself. "

Ive always believed that the "Christ consciousness" was the highest evolved consciousness we could attain in the flesh and that is the true message Christ tried to convey but it was purposefully distorted as a means of control- most likely by the early church and then Constantine. If you read about Irenaeous you will find he purposely destroyed all the gnostic gospels until a wise monk (i assume) stored many gnostic gospels in a huge clay jar and buried it in a cave which was discovered almost 2000 years later. In case youve never explored the gnostic gospels they do align with Seth much more then the orthodox cannon ie we all have "the Kingdom and Christ consciousness within us" and this was realized thru gnosis.  A mystical Christ if you will. But the early catholic church (essentially) deemed all these books heresy and you were killed if you possesed them. The church has purposefully told its flock that they are seperated from God and only through the church can you be reunited. Which is hores__t because even in the bible Christ states "the Kingdom of God is within you." How much clearer can you get then that! Many people think of the bible and even Christ as a catholic hoax to control men. But if you truly explore you will find a rich, fascinating story. Luckily my Mom never forced religion down our throats although we would attend church on easter etc. We were left to seek God alone to wherever our hearts lead us. For some reason i am very intrigued about who Christ really was although i realise that turns many people off because they cant get past the stain of organised religion. Here is a link to the best gnostic site in case you are interested and/or havent already commenced your own study. I highly recommend starting with the Gospel of Thomas.

I've been trying to locate anything Seth said about this type of pride and so far have come up with nothing worthy to contribute. On the Seth search engine, I found zero about narcissism. I suppose if I searched on ego I would come up with more than I could read. The closest my mind comes up with is idealism, which Seth does talk about, as well as its inflated relative, fanaticism. But your question has piqued my interest so I'll keep searching. Maybe just the right word combination on the search engine... but not all Seth related books have been catalogued as of yet.

With the rare spare time I've had lately, I've been reading and really enjoying Dreams & Projection of Consciousness. Just today I came across some excerpts from one of the early sessions, 115. Since the Christ consciousness has come up in this topic, I thought it was interesting timing and also some new information for me. At one time Voidy Paul thought he remembered the crucifixion story being a "gift from F2" or something like that, and this also sort of fits in with what he thought he remembered. I can't find Paul's statement right now, but here goes. I'll add this to the "Seth on..." later.

Seth:
"As a brief byline here, I mentioned once the Crucifixion, saying that it was an actuality and a reality, although it did not take place in your time. It took place where time is not as you know it. It took place in the same sort of time in which a dream takes place, and its reality was felt undeniably by generations, and was reacted to. Not being a physical reality, it influenced the world of physical matter in a way that no purely physical reality ever could.

(See the 81st session for Seth's statements on the Crucifixion. This session and the 96th, among others, dealt much with the God concept, psychic gestalts, myths, etc.)

"The Crucifixion was one of the gigantic realities that transformed and enriched both the universe of dreams and the universe of matter, and it originated in the universe of dreams. It was a main contribution of that field to your own, and could be compared physically to an emergence of a new planet within the physical universe.

"The reality, the physical reality, of fire was such a contribution made by the physical universe to the universe of dreams. Physical man, observing fire, dreamed of it, thereby immeasurably enriching the universe of dreams. His discovery in the physical universe of domesticating fire was another such contribution to the dream universe.

"The ascension of Christ did not occur in time as you know it. It is a contribution of the universe of dreams to your own universe, representing knowledge within the dream universe that man was independent of physical matter ultimately."

@WindWalker thanks for the gnosis link. I read a bit about the gnostics a while back when I was starting my spiritual quest, but I think there is a lot more information available on the internet now.

Dreams and projection of consciousness was the first book i read when i was re-lead back to Seth because i was re-lead back to Seth from interest in astral projection. Seth/Jane spoke of AP before many of todays popular authors and Robert Monroe actually set in on a Seth session. I look at astral projection as another training ground that is a much more thought responsive environment then physical life with areas that are beyond form. Seth and AP align so well and i wish more Sethians would explore the simplicity of AP. The most important aspect is your intent. You really need to engrain the idea of non physical travel in your mind while also reading books on the subject. Your first projection will have you hooked for life. If youve ever noticed hypnagogic imagery before sleep then you can AP. On another note here is Seth quote i thought id share:

"The Christ and the Buddha are both within you, for they are symbols of what you are. Pray to them and you pray to the hidden gods within you. You do not need to kick them aside like a child irritated with his toys!"

Which came from this Jane audio recording session:
