The meek shall inherit the earth and all that jazz...

I thought it could be helpful for some folks here.

So here is Neville Goddard on what the word means to him and how he teaches it:
(of course you can always go to any search engine and type the search string "neville goddard meek")

https://archive.org/stream/NevilleGoddard003/your_supreme_dominion_djvu.txt

This entire text is actually about it but here is a snippet:

"Become  the  meek  and  the  meek  is  the bold.  The  meek  is  the  bold  of  heart  who  does  not  ask  assistance.  He  walks  knowing  he  can  do  it.  He  can fish.  He  can  actually  bring  into  subjection  every  bird  of  the  air,  every  idea  of  the  mind.  He  will  begin  to  know these  things  spiritually.  He  will  know  them  in  the  only  way  that  you  and  I should  know  anything,  by  becoming it,  not  to  have  a world  of  information  concerning  objective  things,  and  knowing  these  things  only  mentally.  I must  learn  to  know  things  spiritually;  I must  learn  to  know  what  love  is  spiritually  by  being  in  love.  I must  learn to  know  what  security  is  spiritually  be  becoming  conscious  of  already  being  secure.  I must  learn  to  know what  health  is  by  becoming  conscious  of  already  being  healthy,  and  sustain  these  states  in  the  name  of righteousness,  knowing  that  my  righteousness  shall  answer  for  me  in  time  to  come. "

(Here it is as a pdf - https://archive.org/details/NevilleGoddard003/your_supreme_dominion)

"Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth."

In the original text, the word translated as meek is the opposite of the words, resentful, angry. It has the meaning of becoming "tamed" as a wild animal is tamed. After the mind is tamed, it may be likened to a vine, of which it may be said,

"Behold this vine. I found it a wild tree whose wanton strength had swollen into irregular twigs. But I pruned the plant, and it grew temperate in its vain expense of useless leaves, and knotted as you see into these clean, full clusters to repay the hand that wisely wounded it."

A meek man is a self-disciplined man. He is so disciplined he sees only the finest, he thinks only the best. He is the one who fulfills the suggestion,

"Brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue and if there be any praise, think on these things."

We rise to a higher level of consciousness, not because we have curbed our passions, but because we have cultivated our virtues. In truth, a meek man is a man in complete control of his moods, and his moods are the highest, for he knows he must keep a high mood if he would walk with the highest.

- Neville Goddard
from Be What You Wish To Be, July 1951, Radio Talk KECA

When Neville talks about the mind as becoming "tamed" as a wild animal is tamed. After the mind is tamed, it may be likened to a vine.....

This always reminds me of Don Americo Ybar and S'alka the "undomesticated energy". Just look in a search for "don americo ybar undomesticated energy"

St, thanks for that useful re-definition of "meek". That may be the original meaning. The history of the Christian Church is a history of distortion.

I laughed when I read that from him! It made so much sense to me! You are quite welcome

It was so freeing to understand things in this way because I never understood what that phrase meant lol

Putting it into context as a co creator it made all the difference to me that is for sure!

I also do not think "inheriting the earth" means that everyone else dies and us cocreators who are bold in this way are the only ones who live . I understand it today this far in my life as, "I live in a safe universe". I inherit all the joys and goodies because my life is mine and I form it. I create my worldy portions. Know what I mean? So we get to inherit the true Earth! When we are so bold!

Word Play: :-*

I just saw the word "inherit" in a totally new way as well. The actual word to me now says, "In Her, IT". As if to say, as Neville puts it, the sacred feminine, your Divine Imagination. To me the Sumerians refer to her as Ninhursag. "My beloved" with whom a divine child is born. The divine child being YOU. Your marriage of the Great I AM and its Divine power create a new YOU.

So, In her - IT.

THE IT.

The BE IT.

The Great House of many mansions. The tamed mind! Going where it wants when it wants HOW it wants. In a loving way!

Real love as a "living god" walks the Earth.

Anyway, thats my word play for the moment! lol

In Hebrew the word "beit" is the great house. And numerically, it is 25920, the great year.

BE IT.

Be the one who you have been waiting for all of your life. BE IT.

The great house could not be anything else but this great inner reality we bring forth into the appearance world. Souls in flesh indeed.

And... isnt it funny that to be tame and not wild you then mind.

And our mind is a past tense word of MINE. And our job is to get it to obey lovingly as a best friend and companion. MIND.

LOL ! That just came to me as well haha

I think this is where ahem... things got wonky telling women to mind the man lol

Thinking that because the imagination minds the Great I AM that so too also should the souls in flesh referred to as a female also do.

HA pish posh! We are all this I AMness and also imagination. Our I AMness is spontaneous, intuitive, impulsive, so many wonderful things! And to inject our thoughts of sperm into this awesome powerhouse womb called imagination, now that is an awesome action!

No wonder Seth says life is a constant orgasm!! Makes perfect sense to me!!

 :P

Hmmm and you know what else? In Egyptian the word MER means "my beloved" and it is also a pyramid which is also a tetrahedron. And...... if you see the word P YRAM ID <--- this way

you will see that my beloved is pi'd (encompassed by it I'd say!) AND in the center.  And that there IS a FIRE in the center.

The inner fire! Pyr AMID

 That.... is just " too 8) "

Like this picture: https://i0.wp.com/educationblog.oup.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/Alchemist-image-2.jpg
Now just see the tetrahedron/pyramid with its four corners touching the circle, and its tippy top coming right up out of the center of the circle. Like a 3d image not the one the link shows that is way 2d.

That is badass! The eye! hahaha

Anyway ... thanks for reading my word play.

A OK
